- The Complete 'THE END' Christian Dystopian Saga
First came the virus. Next, the messiah. Then, the purge.
2113 isn't the future we hoped for; it's the one we feared.
But fear not! Your redemption draweth near.
===
The year is 2113. A virus has annihilated fifty percent of mankind. In the aftermath, a charismatic figure rises to the fore.
He's young. He's rich. He's handsome. He's resourceful.
He is Constantine Jedidiah Goodfellow. And America, in her desperation, elects him president.
But Goodfellow soon rebrands himself as Nero, and reveals his true intentions. Under the guise of a census, he has Christians secretly branded by laser scan, allowing him to begin the systematic eradication of both the religion and its faithful. Using his government-contracted army of mechanoids known as 'Guardians,' and his high-tech warships the 'AirGuard,' he hunts down believers, forcing them to eke out an existence in the shadows.
18-year-old Sage Maddox wants to do God's will and assassinate Emperor Nero. Nero's highest vassal, Maximillian, just wants to serve his lord. And all the while, Colonel Thomas Drexler is hellbent on dethroning him.
Prepare for a collision course as all three lives intersect! There will be redemption and defection galore. There will be victories and losses. When a man with power believes he's God, mankind doesn't have a prayer. Defiance can be deadly; almost as deadly as obedience. Sometimes, prayer only goes so far...rising again requires Something Greater.

Sheryl Love on Amazon wrote:I found this book to be similar to what is happening today in our present day politics although it take place in the future
The reader is introduced to a senator who becomes very powerful and uses his power to eliminate anyone who does not agree to worship him as lord.
People of faith who see the corruption of this tyrant are branded , persecuted , and eliminated until they comply with accepting him as their only adored leader.
The reader follows a group of of devoted faithful who are not willing to submit to the new regime.
It shows how courage, and tremendous faith guides them through a tumultuous period.
I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend this book
Susan Ramirez on Amazon wrote:This is a Christian thriller based on the end-times of the world. It's about a virus that wipes out half of the human population with a evil leader trying to rid society of Christianity. I truly enjoy books like this with a reality that is possible in today's world. Aaron Ryan has written this book really well by including a fight for survival and a strong moral background. I'm looking forward to the the sequels.
Samantha Bishop on Amazon wrote:This is a Christian book set in the future, end of days with government trying to stamp out Christianity. There are 3 stories going on, starting with Sage. Sage is running from Nero, who claims he is the anti-christ. Nero created a virus to kill Christians, and hunts down remaining Christians with Guardians and armies. All Christians were marked so that the Guardians and armies would see them, and kill them on sight. Sage's family was killed, and he now runs with friends trying to stay alive. The story switches to Maximilian, the high councilor for Nero, who he loves and worships. He leaves Nero and talks to the General about the mission to kill all Christians. Back to Sage and his friends in hiding from the Guardians outside that will kill them. The leader of the group was Swiftly, General and Pastor. They escaped the Guardians and settled in for the night. The group had class together where they talked about the past and the future and Nero. Then it switches to General Dexter, who used to work with Nero, but went into hiding, and hid his family. Nero was frantic to find this man, and kill him. He blamed the General for killing innocent people, when it was actually Nero. Then back to Maximilian, and Nero. It was Maximilian's job to worship Nero, and meet his every need. Nero was unhappy that the plans are not moving as fast as he would like. Back to Sage, and his group of friends that are now having to leave the church they've been hiding in. They leave the church and run into 4 Guardians. The group had collars to hide their mark and their bracelet that had their identity. The Guardians stopped Sage and began questioning him. He was able to get past the Guardian, only to watch the Airguard finish off the church with a final bombing. Back to Drexler, meeting with a friend. His friend tells him that a spy was in his group named Sanchez, passing information to Nero. Drexler already knew, and gave Sanchez false information. His friend also gave him new collars, that worked better at hiding their mark. Back to Sage and his friends in hiding. Suddenly, the building was bombed by the Airguard and the group had to run. Leona was killed and no one could find Luca. Surrounded by Guardians and another Airguard, it didn't look good. Two of them where hit with bullets. One of them, Fritz, decided to take on an Airguard with grenades. He is successful, but is killed. Luca takes on a Guardians and is killed. The rest run into a house whose door was open. The old woman that lived there had a shotgun and was pointing it at them. Her name was Iris and Swiftly quickly told her what was happening. Iris took care of the two wounded teenagers, and got them clothes and food. Back to Maximilian, and Nero. Maximilian had good news for Nero, and he ran into Dubios, who wanted to go with him to see Nero. Maximilian said no, and went in alone. He advised Nero that the church had been bombed, and Sanchez told them where Drexler was hiding. Nero was not impressed. Then Dubios entered with news about Japan following Nero and he was pleased. He gave Dubios the same rank as Maximilian, so both would have to worship him. Back to Sage and his friends hiding with Iris, for two days now. The group was planning on meeting with others hiding in a high school. They left in the night, after Iris got a call from two young men, looking for Christians. They found the high school and met the leader. Back to Drexler, who has to run now that his location had been compromised. As he got away, the building they were in was bombed. Back to Maximilian, watching Nero watch the monitors and trying to call Drexler. Sanchez was also there, handcuffed, waiting. Nero commanded them to move against Drexler's family. No one answered the phone so Nero commanded they blow up the place. Maximilian was surprised, all the innocent people would be killed. Nero didn't care and was unhappy with Maximilian doubting him. The building was leveled. When they found out that the family was not in the other building, Nero took out his sword and killed Sanchez. Then Nero ordered that building to be bombed, with all his troops inside. Back to Sage, now in the high school with other followers. They had been hiding in the basement of the school for 5 years. Suddenly, the heard noises, the school was under attack. The troops blew up the pool they were hiding under, water washing down on them. Andrea drowned, telling Sage her real father's name, Drexler. Sage got out, while all his friends drowned. Alone, he gets away, wet and cold into the night, looking for Jasper. Back to Maximilian being flogged for his doubt. Once finished, Nero told him to hurry and get ready for his broadcast. Nero is planning on rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem for his new home, and announced that Drexler was dead and he was responsible for all the innocent people that were killed. Back to Sage, who crawled out of the wreckage and slipped away. He finally got stopped by a man, where Sage passed out from exhaustion. As the story continues, Sage is saved by Jasper, who takes care of him while Maximilian begins to doubt Nero. Drexler worries about his family, having not heard from Andrea, his wife. Sage heads to Aurora, looking for his friends that he can't believe are dead. Nero begins to suspect that Maximilian has doubts, and tells him to kill Dubios for him. Maximilian can't, but ends up cutting Nero in the face. Nero bleeds and he is appalled, Gods don't bleed! He runs away and escapes, knowing Nero will be after him. The story ends with some good news, but not an ending to story. It's a good story, lots of action and suspense. A good read for all.
Sara on Amazon wrote:This story is intense and hard to put down from the very beginning. The world feels frighteningly real, especially watching how fear and desperation allow a powerful leader to rise and turn on believers. The characters feel human and relatable, full of doubt, courage, and tough choices that make the story emotional and engaging. The faith elements are handled naturally and never feel forced, which makes the message even stronger. Overall, it’s a gripping and thought-provoking read that stays with you long after you finish.
Barbara R on Amazon wrote:A gripping end-times saga that blends faith, suspense, and dystopian elements. The story is engaging and thought-provoking, with strong themes of hope and perseverance throughout.
CCN on Amazon wrote:Ever start a book thinking you'll just read a chapter and then suddenly it's 3 AM? That's what happened with THE END. Aaron Ryan creates a world that feels terrifyingly plausible. where Christians are hunted by machines called Guardians, branded with glowing marks on their necks, and forced to either deny their faith or die.
What gets me is how real the characters feel. Sage isn't some superhero. He's a scared kid who watched his family get murdered, now hiding in bomb shelters with other survivors. The relationships, the doubt, the wrestling with forgiveness toward their enemy. it all feels genuine. Ryan doesn't shy away from the hard questions about faith under persecution. And that twist with the "virus scan" actually being a branding operation? Brilliant and chilling. If you love dystopian fiction with substance, grab this one. Just don't plan on sleeping much once you start.
If you are looking for a dystopian trilogy reminecent of the Left Behind series, look no further! This is the complete End-Times Sage trilogy (so don't let the slightly high page count worry you).
Set years in the future, a man calling himself Nero climbs his way to power, forcing people to regect the Judeo-Christian G-d and only worship him. This story follows a few main characters as they fight for their faith, family and the future of mankind. It follows some characters who have been part of the resistance since birth and some who followed Nero until they saw the destruction and lies that he brought.
One of the things I liked about this trilogy is that each book went simlessly into the other. So ofter months pass between books leaving the reader what happened, but here it was a true continuation.
I really enjoyed this trilody, and might just dust of my Left Behind books again after reading this end times book.
