The story Lavender Fields by Natalina Reis is a paranormal/romance book. This is a wonderful story with characters that touch your heart. It is the story of Sky and Caleb. Sky is an angel of death. He is sent to collect the souls of the recently departed. It is on one of his missions that he meets Caleb. To Sky it is love at first sight and it seems as if Caleb feels the same. Then Sky finds that Caleb is the one whose soul he is there to collect. Putting aside all the repercussions, Sky saves Caleb. Actions have consequences, even if you are an angel. Now Sky finds himself having to protect Caleb. Will Sky be able to keep Caleb safe from harm? Will both Sky and Caleb act on the attraction that they have for each other? What does the future hold for them?

This is one story that was over far too quickly for me. I wanted to know what happens in the end, however, I didn’t want to stop reading about Caleb and Sky. They are a couple whose love knows no bounds. Sky is an angel of death that is known to everyone he works with as “accident prone” and to his supervisor, he is “the liability.” He marches to the beat of his own drum. While he knows there are consequences to his actions, he always does what he believes to be right. The attraction between Sky and Caleb is immediate and I just knew that they had to get together. Their relationship continues to grow as they spend more time together and they find themselves not wanting to ever be apart. This story also is about the danger that Sky has to protect Caleb from. There are forces at work that are determined that Caleb’s soul will be collected. It is during this turmoil in their lives that these two find their relationship growing even stronger. Will Sky find out who wants to cause harm to Caleb?

Caleb is a man that has had tragedy touch his life in the past. He has had to take on responsibilities at a young age and put falling in love at the bottom of his to-do list. Now with his meeting Sky, he finds himself both in danger and falling head over heels in love. Read this book to find out if he and Sky get their HEA. This is not the first book I have read by the author and have found that she has a way of writing romance stories that make you want them to go on forever. This book is told from Sky’s POV. This story does include adult situations and has romantic love scenes as well. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.

Lavender Fields by Natalina Reis is paranormal romance story about love at first sight and the struggles that follow. This story will make you laugh, have compassion, suspense and of course romance. I love this author's stories as they are creative and engaging. Her ability to create characters that pop right of the page make the story can't put it down type book. They are connectable and they will pull you right into their world. You will need to see what happens to them and you will just plain fall in love with them. The author's attention to detail in this book is both creative and attention grabbing. Find out what happens to these characters as they start a discovery of friendship and love.

Sky Heavensent is a angel of death, his job is to collect the souls of the recently departed. He is known as a liability to his boss and friends, he puts his heart and soul in everything he does. When he meets Caleb Pierce, it is love at first sight. What will happen when he realizes that Caleb's soul is the one he is supposed to harvest? To save him, he would be breaking the most sacred angelic directives. Already feeling that he is in way to deep he chooses to not think of the consequences but go with his heart. Danger and mayhem follow but he does everything he can to protect his lavender eyed man.

Sky and Caleb's relationship is one that is a little different. It is love at first sight but yet there is something more to it. Caleb is human and Sky is an angel but they seem to have formed a connection, a bond. When Sky decides to throw out the consequences, will it bring more danger to him and Caleb? Caleb was supposed to die but it that really his fate? Sky is a very strong character in this book. He is gorgeous and is pretty independent. He doesn't care what anyone thinks, he just wants to do what is right. He leads his life by his heart and not always with his head. Caleb in my opinion is not as strong. He seems to know what he wants but he is really overly protective of his sister which can be a good thing and bad. Both, Sky and Caleb are not sure what the other feels for the other. You just want to shake them and tell them to wake up and see. The secondary characters in this book are good and bad. You love some and hate others. Caleb's sister is funny, outgoing and not afraid of anything really. She is the spunky teenager and I think you will love her. All the characters seem to connect to each other and really make the story flow.

I am not sure how many of Natalina Reis's books I have read but this has to be one of my favorite of hers. I can't wait to see what else she has for us next! Natalina lives in Virginia where she spends her days teaching English as a second language to elementary children. She wrote her first story at the age of 13 and she ventured with other genes but romance is the one she always comes back to. When she is not writing she spends her time with her husband and two adult sons. Once again, this author has given me a journey that left me wanting more. I love that about her books, I never know where the book will take me until I open the cover. This book is a fast paced story that will keep you engaged until the end. I couldn't put it down until the last page. I enjoyed the twists and turns that I didn't see coming and I know you will too. I highly suggest this book as I know you will love this book as much as I have.

Another Five Star read by Natalina Reis. I love Paranormal books, and Lavender Fields did not disappoint.

Lavender Fields is told from the POV of Sky, an Angel of Death. Though that title sounds dark, Sky is anything but. He does have the task of getting the name of a person who is about to pass, so he can go meet them at the time of passing, and collect their souls, to bring them to Heaven. Except, this time things are a little different, a little more personal.

Sky gets tired of feeling cooped up, and enjoys spreading his wings and flying. Except this time he crash lands on a beach. He isn't one who is exactly graceful, nor does he follow each rule to a T. It is on this beach he meets this handsome human, sparks fly. It's love at first sight. When that handsome boy leaves, Sky reads the name of who he is there to collect, and is devastated to see the name Caleb. It can't be... he's so young, so handsome, so perfect....

Sky decides that Caleb needs to be saved, that it can't be his time yet, regardless of the repercussions of his actions. Little does he realize the course of actions he has set into place. Sky's boss, Gabriel, is none to pleased, and forbids Sky from visiting Caleb, or to even visit Earth. But, he cannot stay away, and sneaks away to visit anyway. It is then that he realizes there is something dark and sinister going on. But is he able to save Caleb?

Lavender Fields is definitely a book you will have a hard time putting down, and an even harder time forgetting.

Lavender Fields by Natalina Reis is a paranormal romance, that follows a couple who falls in love and how they fight to overcome their struggles. There's laughs, suspense, romance and so much more. Natalina Reis is very creative and has written these characters to where they almost pop off the page and keep you so engaged, that the world seems to disappear. This was an amazing 5 star read!

Sky Heavensent is literally the angel of death, his job is to collect the souls of the recently departed. He puts everything his has into his job, when he meets Caleb Pierce, and everything changes. What is Sky going to do when he realizes that he's suppose to take Caleb's beautiful soul. He's in love with Caleb, so what's he going to do? It's against the rules, for him to love Caleb or even think about not taking his soul. He knows that saving him would break the up-most angelic directives. What will Sky do? Will he break all the rules in order to save Caleb? Was Caleb really suppose to have his soul taken? Did fate step in?

Sky and Caleb relationship is obviously different than most, Sky is an angel, while Caleb is human, but even though they have their differences physically, they have an emotional connection. They face so much drama and danger, but it only seems to make them stronger. I absolutely loved their story. I can't wait to see what Natalina Reis comes up with next.

About the Author

Natalina wrote her first romance at the age of 13 in collaboration with her best friend. Since then she has ventured into other genres, but romance is first and foremost in almost everything she writes. She’s the author of We Will Always Have the Closet, Desert Jewel, Loved You Always, and Lavender Fields.

After earning a degree in tourism and foreign languages, she worked as a tourist guide in her native Portugal for a short time before moving to the United States. She lived in three continents and a few islands, and her knack for languages and linguistics led her to a master’s degree in education. She lives in Virginia where she’s taught English as a Second Language to elementary school children for more years than she cares to admit.

Natalina doesn’t believe you can have too many books or too much coffee. Art and dance make her happy and she is pretty sure she could survive on lobster and bananas alone. When she is not writing or stressing over lesson plans, she shares her life with her husband and two adult sons.
