Summary: Read the eBook for free via B&N, Kobo, Apple Books, or many other online bookstores. Revised twentieth anniversary edition. In an alternate reality, Earth is the planet Valchondria. No illness exists, gay marriage is legal, and everyone is a person of color. The Iroquois constitution provided the model for a one-world government, partially led by scientists. However, a group called “the Maintainers” carefully monitors everyone’s speech, actions, and weight. Long ago, the Maintainers provoked a shut-down of the space program, causing scientific advancement to decay. The Iroquois scientist Taldra sees her twin gay sons as the hope for Valchondria's future, but one of them becomes entangled in the cult of Degranon, while the other becomes stranded on the other side of a doorway through time. Can they find their way home and help Taldra save their world? Winner, StoneWall Society Pride in the Arts Award. “A must read.” —Joe Wright, StoneWall Society. “A thought provoking and fun sci-fi read.” —Blogger Girls. Degranon and its sequel Sons of Taldra are also available together as the eBook Taldra: Science Fiction Adventures.
