Gerard La Marque is a passionate South African author whose storytelling is deeply rooted in heritage and rich imagination. Born and raised in Durban, he proudly represents the Coloured community, bringing fresh, untold perspectives to the global literary scene.
His debut novel, The Gorie: Rise of the Messiah, is a gripping young adult dark fantasy, Religious Thriller and the launch of an ambitious literary journey. The book has already drawn early praise for its bold themes, layered characters, and cinematic style.
At 50, Gerard is a devoted father of two daughters and a man of faith, discipline, and resilience. Outside of writing, he finds balance through fitness and recording music in studio sessions.
With several projects in development, Gerard La Marque is an emerging author to watch — driven to inspire and connect with readers worldwide through stories that matter.
