The stories in The Deepearth are dark fantasies, but while they show that life here is hard, like the series, a thread of hope and love runs through them.

If you have not read The Sister Seekers series by the A.S. Etaski, please give it a read. Tales from the Muirag story that just tied everything together. I highly recommend this book!
