Wah’Lor’s once untested peace has collapsed under the burden of violence and war that bled over from Kep Four. When the body of a former comrade is found and artifacts are discovered beneath the soil, Mason is thrust into a mounting storm, threatening to undo the complicated balance between humanity and the Kla’Wah sects.

A frantic mission to find the fallen Ark unearths ancient technologies that shake everyone’s past and leave their future in question.

To make things worse, Dolofónos and his Uprisers spread their vengeance across the planet and draw its native inhabitants into their crosshairs. Alliances that General Bentley, Mason, and their Armada counterparts worked so hard to establish fracture to ignite conflict between the Vee’Sal, Dah’Sel, and humans.

The monsoon season drowns Wah’Lor beneath gray skies and stokes flames of vengeance. Upriser attacks are methodical, forcing the hands of Vee’Sal leaders to call for action against the Dah’Sel. Caught in the middle, Mason and her squad must make impossible choices while navigating a fractured world they still hope to call home.

In this third and electrifying installment of the WolfStar series, Civil Unrest explores the fragility of loyalty, the consequences of forbidden love, and what it takes to survive on a planet hovering on the threshold of collapse. Humanity must traverse with caution. Their future is balanced on the razor’s edge of war and peace that, if tipped, could drown the planet in blood before the monsoon can do it with rain.

About the Authors

C. R. Buchanan

C. R. Buchanan’s fascination with writing piqued in middle school, where he won his 1st writing contest for his story, “Attack of the killer croutons from a planet somewhere near Mars!” It was full of grammatical errors and misspellings, but the oddest, funniest, and most original story that year.

Later in life, he plunged himself headfirst into the world of writing and acting to become an author, pen multiple feature films, blossom into a novelist, and won Best Supporting Actor 2019 at The International Film Festival in Madrid, Spain. Now, he is penning the Sci-Fi/Fantasy blended WolfStar novel series.

His first two books, The Tower (filming in Thailand), and BINARY were his initial steppingstones that got his feet wet as a novelist. On another note: he’s also a seasoned script editor, story editor, former professional fighter, and a bit of a goofball.

C. R. Buchanan has a love for life and everything in it. From wildlife to plants and Mother Nature, though he has gotten injured a few times by getting too close to it, there is nothing about the outdoors he does not like. Between Florida, Virginia, Georgia, Alaska, California, Nevada, and everything in between, he has lived in and hiked some of the most beautiful and dangerous areas of the United States.

He currently lives in Alabama, where he takes care of his mother, visits family, and tends the land. Donkeys, dogs, cats, and even a pet squirrel or two highlight a life of deer, chipmunks, raccoons, and splitting logs to load their wood-burning stove for warmth in the winter. Far away from people and finding peace and tranquility in life to write is all he needs to be happy, besides love in his heart.

C. R. Buchanan is headfirst into writing every day and moment he has free, unless his mother’s chili recipe is thrown into the mix. It is at that moment he will get off his butt long enough to add a few inches to his belly. After that, a gym is in order.
